Procedure to apply for Student/ F1 visa. (USA) 

  1. Complete the 160 DS form and submit it prior making an appointment.  
  2. A valid passport. 
  3. Approved I-20 from US School. 
  4. Passport size photograph taken within the last 6 months. 
  5. Pay 160 $ for your F-1 visa fee. The receipt will also be included in application item. 
  6. 10 year traveling history. 
  7. List of Siblings and children. 
  8. Interview appointment letter that you booked an appointment through official service. After the appointment, the interview will be conducted by the Visa officer at the US embassy. The interviewer will determine your qualification, your intentions/ plans to return your country after graduation, your ties and your financial strength.  

On the day of  interview, please take along following documents :  

  • Printed copy of appointment letter. 
  • DS-160 information page. 
  • photograph taken within the last 6 months. 
  • Visa payment receipt( original) 
  • Supplementary documents reflecting:  
  • Your social, financial and family ties that will lead you to return your country after completion of studies. 
  • Financial document/ Bank statement/ other documents etc. that will strengthen your  application. You have to show proof of funds that you can afford the expenses of 1st year of study. Not only this but also you have to produce  evidence of sufficient funds to cover all the expenses. We advise you to arrange proof of funds capable of covering a 2 year fee in case your course’s duration is more than 1 year.  
  • School transcripts e.g. degrees, certificates. Standardized test scores i.e. TOEFL, IELTS, GMAT, SAT etc. 

Medical 

There is no requirement for Medical tests for F1 Visa for US. However, there are certain medical tests and certificates of vaccination required to complete your admission formalities. Working hours and earnings 

Full-time students on F-1 visas may seek on-campus employment not to exceed 20 hours per week. After the first year in student status, an applicant may apply for employment off campus with authorization from USCIS. The earnings are around 7.25 to 15 US $ per hour.
